CALLING ALL PATRIOTS — VOTE

It has just come to my attention that many of you do not vote in the Primary Election. Please be advised that the Primary Vote can be and, in many cases, is imperative as many elected positions are determined at this time. In other words, if any one or thing such as a Referendum, gets over 50% of the vote, the election is over. There is NO second chance.

Case in point … in a local election such as the Clay County School Board and the School Board Referendum now on the ballot, the final decision could easily be made with the primary vote. Also know that you who are Independents, etc. can vote in the primary for those positions not affiliated with a Party. Let me call your attention to those running for School Board. We, the voters, have the opportunity to replace the “Good Ole Boys” such as Kerekes, Bullock and Chafee, first-time run, but in the clique, and place new blood and ideas to handle the county’s educational crisis … yes, crisis!

Right now those who serve and are running again for School Board believe in Common Core, Unions, No Charter Schools, No Term Limits. One does not have to go to Washington D.C. to find the “Swamp” or better yet a “Sewage System” contaminated by those who have made a profession of running for office. Perhaps this is why there are so many signs in number and size for those who continue to increase their inventory of signage that appear to be everywhere because they have made it their profession to maintain a seat in an elected capacity.

The School Board Referendum — Do you, Clay County residents, understand that the Property Taxes are going up 6.34 Mil in one year? The Referendum is asking for another Mil = 7.34 Mil and for what? “To enhance the safety and security of students and staff AND provide for necessary operating expenses of the School District.” Once again we have truly no idea where the money is going to be used. Just because the word “Education” is used, we are put on a guilt trip to support the vote. Please understand the School District is already getting money from the first 6.34 Mil being added on to your property taxes plus the millage that is already being paid. Yet, another mil is requested only for the School Board. THINK ! THINK ! THINK !

Yes, we should take every step to protect our children. Isn’t it amazing that banks, office buildings, the NFL, the NBA, elite movie stars, jewelry stores have full protection, but our children do not? Any American school that needs immediate professional consultation and help with organizing and defining their own security solutions should call the NRA National School Shield Program. They will provide assistance absolutely FREE of charge.

Yes, I am a member in long standing with the NRA. I am also a Recruiter for the NRA. So allow me to share some information that the C.C. School Board is obviously unaware.

Because so many spend so much time trying to villainize the NRA, perhaps some schooling is necessary to educate the educators.

So before we the people are propagandized on false information, it would be wise to seek free information. It would be wise to seek free professional assistance before throwing out more money that, yes, goes down the sewer.

Bottom line – VOTE in the Primaries. God gave man one thing He gave no other creature – the ability to think, to reason. So clear out those little gray cells. Study the issues. Please don’t take the easy way out and either not vote or vote without thought and conscious. Get the facts. Understand how much your vote matters.

A Call for Prayers

To say I am moved by everyone’s response to my requests for prayers for my friend Lou Rymza and my brother, Don, is truly an understatement. I am going to go a step further and share with you why I need your prayers for these two very special people. Right now I am going to focus on Lou and her very very rare cancer.

Lou became very interested in karate to the point that she excelled in self- defense techniques. So much so that she became an instructor as well as a strong tournament participant winning or at least placing in every contest. I recall her coming into the Shoppe and sharing with me that her shoulder and arm were beginning to cause her some pain in using them. Perhaps because I had to have my shoulder replaced, Lou thought I could shed some light on her pain. My instruction to her was to go have her arm seen by a specialist. She went to Mayo Clinic.

Today Lou will undergo the first of many surgeries. Today a team of doctors/top surgeons (11 in all) from all of the Mayo Clinics will operate on Lou to remove the nerves and check for any other cancer. After this exploratory surgery, of course depending on what is found, will be the second surgery to remove Lou’s left arm and shoulder. There can be no prosthesis as there will be no place to attach one.

Please understand how difficult this is for me to share with you. Just a week ago her son danced with Lou at his wedding. I could see the pain in her face as Robbie lifted his mother’s arm up to hold securely.

So now I am asking for one more favor along with your continued prayers. Would you mind sending Lou a card or two? I believe the cards could be just what the doctor ordered. I know these cards and prayers will be uplifting and also strengthening for her to know that so many are cheering for her and her family. Just think, so many people who are just now meeting this lovely lady for the first time will be praying for her and sending such warm words of encouragement.

Please send your cards for Lou in care of the Shoppe. I shall make sure that Lou receives the cards in a beautifully wrapped box with a brightly colored bow on it Perhaps we can help Lou as we focus on the power of prayer and help one of God’s humble servants through this trying time.

Annabelle is back!

“I’m back! Retirement is not for me!” said Annabelle Hamachek.

In the Fall of 2014, Annabelle decided to close the doors of Annabelle’s Interiors, Inc., which also included Annabelle’s Gift and Accessory Shoppe. In June of this year, Annabelle came out of retirement to re-invent and re-open Annabelle’s Shoppe marking her 40th year in business in Clay County at the same location, 38 College Drive in Orange Park.

Annabelle is well educated in the world of Residential Interior Design. Graduated from the University of Mississippi she did her graduate work at the Chicago School of Interior Design while based in Chicago with American Airlines. She is a true Patriot and a Recruiter for the NRA.

“Closing the Shoppe was truly one of my really good decisions which probably didn’t seem so brilliant to me at the time”, said Annabelle, “as my life has revolved around my business and all the absolutely wonderful people I have come to know. These people have become my friends and many times my strength over the years. I have been very blessed.”

Closing the Shoppe gave Annabelle a chance to re-evaluate. Retirement turned out to be just a word, but not a reality. “I found I really wasn’t focused on anything having no deadlines or completion dates to meet. I was bored.”

Many things have certainly changed at Annabelle’s with the Shoppe more focused on Home Interiors, which is Annabelle’s true passion. You’ll still find Lampe Berger, Wind & Willow, Camille Beckman, Claire Burke, Candle Warmers and Trapp Candles, but now Interior Design is the focus with rooms, vignettes of furniture and home accessories to greet you at every turn.

“My passion is to help people pull their home together. I want customers to talk with me, to share their ideas down to the smallest detail. My work involves more than just moving furniture around. What I do is a profession, not a hobby. It requires an innate ability to listen to the client and hear what they are saying thereby taking the guideposts of interior design such as proportion, texture, scale and color and putting them all together to fulfill my client’s vision.”

Clients such as Karen and Bob Eiswerth are amazed as to how Annabelle makes the very best use of space and budget to benefit them as homeowners. “The Eiswerth’s are the dream client to me. As newlyweds with their first child, they decided to invest in furniture with an idea for their future furnishings and home,” said Annabelle. “Now as parents of adult children, Bob and Karen are busy updating their home with total renovations of their bathrooms, laundry room and, just recently, the kitchen. Wow, what a difference from the builder’s basic floor plan!”

Whether it’s a particular room in your home or working with the builder from the floor plan on up, perhaps it’s time for a room in your home to have a facelift. From wall and window coverings to flooring and lighting or furniture and accessories, Annabelle can work with you to achieve the look you want with quality to last a lifetime.
